BBC NEWS | Americas | Iraqi anger at abuser's jail term
BBC NEWS | Americas | Iraqi anger at abuser's jail term: "One Iraqi who saw pictures of the abuse on the internet said Graner should be sent back to Abu Ghraib to serve his sentence among the prisoners still there, our correspondent says.
Another said that many others of higher rank must have been involved in such systematic abuse and should be prosecuted too, our correspondent adds.
Trader Ali Ahmed, 23, said Graner's sentence was 'too little, too late. This isn't justice.
'Even capital punishment isn't enough. But since it's forbidden to torture him the way he tortured the prisoners, I would have settled for the death penalty,' he was quoted by Reuters news agency as saying."

Times Online - World: "'Laughing torturer' of Abu Ghraib". A question, what woukd you expect from the Iraqis or others resisting american after they know about that? Will they be milder or tougher? There is overwhelming Anti-American sentiment around the globe, would that help thier agenda? I just pray for a world that have morals.

The thoery that most layers and Politicans have same ingredients is true. As a human being, I would judge in a different way, I would think, would I want to have this done to me? What was done will never be erased from Muslim minds exactly like the Jews when they can never forget what happened to them. What is ok to you may be completly in acceptable by others, unless you want to force your views on me and this will never happen

Times Online - World: "I note that if one compares the German occupation of France with the occupation in certain other European countries, then proportionately it is in France where it was the least painful." Or compared to what is going on right now. Politics is dirty and people are the all time sufferer. I do not agree or disagree but we have to conside everyone point and every opinion.

Mr. Gonzalez, while serving as White House counsel, called the prohibition against torture in the Geneva Convention “quaint” and “obsolete.”
How could someone with such a disdain for protecting human rights be promoted to the head of the Justice Department of the United States? But perhaps equally disturbing is the fact that everyone expects the Democrats to let his nomination go through. Perhaps they are more concerned with saving face until mid-term elections then preventing human rights abuse.

Well they will sell anything to stay in power. Would this process benefit the Egyptians, I doubt it. Would it increase standard of living and decrease the price of bread, I doubt that too. I am not aganist privatisation, but there are some stuff that should be controlled and kept by state. If it is just selling everything, I think we should start by selling the President and minsters positions to some country that would make Egypt better?

Aljazeera.Net - Spy chief says 200,000 fighters in Iraq
If this is true, the american will be there for ever or they will leave defeated. Well this number makes sence since the fights are on the rise and now the fighters are getting offensive and attacking USA holds. I also beleive that this number will increase the longer USA stays in Iraq as more and more Arab and Muslims are daily offended by USA presence and actions in Iraq. The best that USA can do is to leave as soon as it can before it is too late and too shamful. Americans should wake up from several dreams they have. They should use thier political power to help a country like Egypt having multi candidate presidential elections better than using military power, which is obviously is not working. I think this way, it is helping the well of people and at the same time gaining hearts.
